I simply have to share.... Sorolla is probably one of my all time favorite artists. This painting, Mending the Sail (I have also seen it titled, Mending Nets) is exquisite. I never tire of looking at it. The lovely light, the way that he moves the eye so casually around the painting is enthralling. The figures are perfectly rendered, the composition flawless. Only in my dreams, could I ever paint like this!
