I have been working on a very large piece for the November show at Olde Towne Art called "Extra Large". It will be featuring large pieces of art and will hang until December. I decided to take the above pastel and paint it in oils. It is now larger with a number of color modifications. The weather is thankfully cooler with the approach of autumn, so this motivated me to paint this scene which is from a photo I took while in Germany. I don't know if I can say it is now "better", but it surely is different. It is now sitting on my easel in Portsmouth drying and I will take a photo today and try to have it up soon. Then you can compare.
Some of my work and my thoughts on the problems, joy, humor, frustration and pain of being an artist.
