Rescue Marsh Study Pastel

I just sold this small pastel study on Friday to a lovely lady from Chesapeake. I did two small studies of the marsh and a larger study before painting it in oil. By the time I painted it, it became more and more abstact, which seems to be the way I continue to work. I hate and love selling work because as I have said before, it's like giving your children away.
