I'm finally getting around to finishing some pieces of work that have been waiting. This pastel was only roughed in when I attended Dorothy Fagan's workshop at Cobbs Creek. It was a pretty cold day in spite of all of the sunshine. This piece is my first attempt on pastel board, which I have to say is nice because of the sturdiness of the board, but still lacks a little of the fine tooth of Kitty Wallis paper, which I think I prefer. Sorry to say that my photography really doesn't translate well sometimes...maybe I should start scanning the work that I complete that is small. But then, what does one do with all the pastel dust?
